This is a unit of ownership which represents a members stake at AFYA SACCO. SACCO Shares are NOT withdrawable NOR can they be used to guarantee member loans but negotiable instruments that can be transferred or sold to other members new or existing upon one’s withdrawal from the SACCO subject to review/approval by the Board of Directors. The minimum share capital is KSH. 20,000.00. Members have the option to contribute periodically small amount towards the same or pay the entire amount at once. Share earn high returns in the form of dividends which is payable annually.
